Navigating the energy of this Virgo Full Moon requires a grounded approach as we find ourselves at the final stop before the expansive journey through Libra to Pisces, exploring the highs and lows of partnership, family, and society.
Now is an opportune time to set intentions for releasing blockages hindering self-improvement, shedding inner criticism that no longer serves, and letting go of bad habits or toxic connections. Virgo, Mercury-ruled and the ruler of the sixth house, encourages us to prioritize routine, dispel illness, and banish mental fogginess.
The need to be right may intensify, pushing us towards efficiency, but it's crucial to avoid being overly hard on ourselves. Recognize that you don't have to be everything to everyone to satisfy this need. Emotions may take on an analytical flavor, prompting us to investigate rather than feel. However, remember that feelings are valid, and self-criticism for reacting emotionally is unnecessary. During this time, refrain from hasty manifestations and focus on thorough assessment, refinement, cleansing, and redirection. Details matter, and a meticulous approach will yield better results.
Aspects Affecting this Moon
Under the Virgo Full Moon, the opposition between the Moon in Virgo and the Sun in Aquarius sets the stage for a dynamic interplay between meticulous attention to detail and a visionary, unconventional perspective. This tension challenges us to find a harmonious blend between practicality and innovative ideals. Simultaneously, the Moon opposes Saturn in Pisces, creating an emotional tug-of-war between Virgo's need for order and Saturn's influence, prompting us to balance structure with emotional depth.
On a positive note, the Moon forms a trine with both Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus, infusing the atmosphere with grounded optimism and innovative potential. This harmonious alignment encourages practical expansion and the integration of routine matters with inventive solutions. However, a contrasting note arises as the Moon opposes Neptune in Pisces, introducing an element of illusion and dreaminess into the emotional landscape. Navigating this astrological paradox calls for discernment, urging us to embrace grounded emotions and steer clear of potential illusions. In summary, this Virgo Full Moon invites us to reconcile opposing forces, finding a delicate balance between precision and innovation, structure and fluidity, in our journey of personal growth and self-discovery.

Full Moon in Virgo Ritual Instructions
First You always want to start with a clean space, a clean body, and a clear mind so do whats necessary to start that way. At minimum start with this body scan
Sit comfortably where you have privacy and will not be interrupted.
Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
Silently call in the support of whatever spiritual forces or deities in which you believe or with whom you work.
Ask that you are supported and protected and that the highest good comes for all concerned. Now, invoke your higher Self as your inner guide and protector.
Know that your higher Self will be with you throughout this process and that you can trust your experiences as they will be guided from within.
Through the eyes, sensing, and knowing of your higher Self you begin to scan your physical and energetic body, beginning with your feet and moving up, through, and all around, the auric field around your body.
As you scan, notice any areas where you perceive darkness, blocking, stagnancy, density, stickiness, smokiness, or fogginess … any area where the energy is distinctly thicker from the other areas of your body or your energetic field.
Make a mental note of each area that has any darkness or energetic overlay; any area that is distinctly different from the rest. Take your time.
Note any area that is, in any way, suspicious or of concern. Go up, around, and through your whole body until you finish at the top of your head.
When you have finished recite this affirmation aloud and then write it down in your journal
Affirmation for the Full Moon in Virgo: I release what no longer serves me, embracing healing and balance. My mind and body harmonize with the energies of the earth and sky. I am grounded, renewed, and open to the wisdom of the present moment.
Next
Gather your herbs( rose, thyme, dill, and lavendar), pray and speak over them to give them your intentions and thank them thoroughly offering your love, gratitude, and acceptance
Grab your candle and your oil of choice and dress your candle with the oil first speaking your intentions preferably aloud
If you are using a 7 day or jar candle poke holes in the top of your candle and start putting in your herbs ( remember less is more and the finer you get your herbs the better use your fingers to grind them up it adds intention)
If your candle is loose roll your oil dressed candle in your mix of herbs, you can also add a little honey or syrup to help them stick or soften your candles and press the herbs into them, whichever way you choose is fine
When you're done go ahead and light your incense ( benzoin or frankincense) then your candle and begin writing
Write a letter to yourself embracing yourself as you are now forgiving yourself and releasing anything that is keeping you stuck in the healing of your mind and body. Write about the ways in which you have let yourself down and failed to create and keep healthy routines for yourself. Over the past 6 months what has happened that you need to heal and release, write it all down in this letter.
Then
Close your eyes if you are comfortable to do so.
Either standing or sitting, take a deep breath.
Hold it and then let it go.
With your feet flat on the ground, imagine that each exhalation sends roots through your body and out of the bottoms of your feet.
These roots are growing and going deeper into the earth with each out-breath.
The roots grow through the top soil, through the bedrock and into the underground waterways, growing deeper and expanding outward.
As the roots grow deeper and deeper into the earth, you receive the benefits of the earth’s energy through them.
Your body absorbs the rich nutrients, the constant and dependable energy of mother earth. Your roots continue to grow to the very center of the earth where the fiery core of our earth mother provides us with all our needs.
This earth energy rises up through the roots and into your body, bringing energy that stabilizes and balances you.
The warmth relaxes any tension and renews your body and mind. Open to it and receive it now. Bring this energy fully up into your body from the bottoms of your feet, filling you with the warmth that energizes and renews, moving through each muscle and organ, filling your body and spilling out the crown chakra.
When the earth energy moves out the top of your head, it flows upwards and onwards into the sky, leafing out like branches into the heavens.
And now, these branches absorb the light of the moon and stars, and this light of the sky streams down into the top of your head,
filling your body with starlight and moonlight …
moving into each muscle and organ …
pulsing through each vein and artery …
filling your body with light. Your body is radiant in this light, vibrating with the energy of the heavens.
Now imagine with each in-breath you bring in the earth energy through your feet, through your body, and out the top of your head.
With each out-breath, you pull in sky energy through the top of your head and out the bottoms of your feet …
mixing and balancing the earth and sky, the mother and father, the male and female … collapsing opposites …
creating a perfect balance of the yin and the yang. Continue to breathe, following the flow of these energies that balance and support, that renew and recharge, energy that supports your being present right here, right now.
When you are ready, you can open your eyes. Take a minute to adjust as you gently move back into activity. Notice how you feel.
Finally Before your candle has burned down fully burn the letter, recite psalms 51 vs 10-12 and bathe for a final release
Psalm for the Full Moon in Virgo:
Psalm 51:10-12 (New International Version): "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me."
This psalm reflects themes of renewal, purity, and seeking a steadfast spirit—aligning with the energy of the Virgo Full Moon and the intention to release what no longer serves for a revitalized sense of well-being.
