Virgo Season 2026: Clearing the Way for What Matters
Virgo season is inviting us to come back to what is practical, honest, healing, and sustainable. From August 22 through September 22, the Sun moves through Virgo and brings our attention to the parts of life that quietly hold everything together: our health, routines, work, homes, responsibilities, boundaries, and relationship with time, energy, and rest.
After the creativity, confidence, and visibility of Leo season, Virgo encourages us to slow down and pay attention. This is not necessarily a season of becoming a completely different person. It is more about returning to ourselves through the small things. It is about noticing what has been neglected, what needs to be simplified, and what needs more intention. Virgo reminds us that transformation does not always have to be loud. Sometimes transformation looks like cleaning your room, making the appointment, drinking more water, going to bed earlier, organizing your schedule, letting go of something that has been draining you, or saying no without explaining yourself into exhaustion.
This season asks us to be honest about what is working in our lives and what is only being held together by stress, fear, overthinking, or habit. Virgo is connected to discernment, healing, service, organization, devotion, and the daily choices that create the foundation of our lives. Its energy can make us more aware of where things feel cluttered, heavy, disorganized, or unsustainable. It can show us where we have been trying to carry too much by ourselves, where we need better systems, and where clearer boundaries, healthier routines, and more compassion are needed.
Collectively, this is a time to ask ourselves: What routines are actually supporting me? What am I doing out of guilt, fear, or obligation? Where am I giving too much of myself away? What needs to be cleaned up, released, organized, or simplified? What would help me feel more grounded in my everyday life? Where am I asking myself to be perfect instead of allowing myself to be human?
Virgo energy can make us want to fix everything all at once. It can make us focus so intensely on what needs improvement that we forget to acknowledge how far we have already come. But the deeper lesson is not to criticize ourselves into becoming better. The deeper lesson is to care for ourselves honestly enough that real change can happen. We can want growth without believing there is something wrong with us. We can create structure without becoming rigid. We can become more disciplined without becoming hard on ourselves.
September 10: A Major Reset
September 10 carries a lot of energetic movement. Venus enters Scorpio, Mercury enters Libra, Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini, and the New Moon occurs in Virgo. This day may feel like a reset, especially because these energies are asking us to look at several different parts of our lives at once. Virgo asks us to get organized. Scorpio asks us to be emotionally honest. Libra asks us to communicate with more balance. Uranus in Gemini asks us to rethink the stories, beliefs, and thought patterns that have been shaping our lives. A lot may come to the surface at once, but the most important thing is not to rush yourself. Let yourself notice what is being revealed before trying to fix it all.
The New Moon in Virgo happens late on September 10. This is a powerful time to set intentions around healing, health, routines, work, organization, boundaries, and the practical parts of life that need more care. This New Moon is not asking you to manifest your entire dream life overnight. It is asking you to build a foundation.
It is asking you to get honest about what would make your life feel more supported, manageable, healthy, calm, and aligned. You may feel called to create routines that support your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. You may feel ready to simplify your schedule, home, commitments, or priorities. You may need stronger boundaries around your energy, a better system for your work or money, or a return to habits that help you feel grounded. New beginnings do not always look dramatic. Sometimes they look like making a plan and following it. Sometimes they look like cleaning one corner of your room, letting yourself rest, taking care of your body, or admitting that something is no longer working. That still counts.
Venus enters Scorpio and stays there through October 25. This transit can bring deeper emotions, stronger desires, more intensity, and a greater need for honesty in love, relationships, money, values, and self-worth. Surface-level connections may feel less satisfying during this time. We may want more depth, more truth, more reciprocity, more emotional safety, and more realness.
It may become easier to see where something feels vague, performative, one-sided, or emotionally unavailable. Venus in Scorpio can help us get honest about what we truly want and what we are no longer willing to accept. At the same time, this transit can bring up fear, control, jealousy, suspicion, or attachment if we are not careful. Not every feeling needs to become a final conclusion, and not every unknown needs to be investigated. The invitation is to be honest without losing ourselves in fear.
Mercury enters Libra and stays there through September 30, shifting the focus toward communication, balance, fairness, relationships, and perspective. Mercury in Libra asks us to think about how we speak, how we listen, and how we handle conflict. This is a good time to ask yourself whether you have been keeping the peace by staying quiet. It is also a good time to notice whether you have been editing yourself so much that people do not truly know what you mean or how you feel. You can be honest without being harsh. You can have a different opinion without turning every disagreement into a fight. You can ask for what you need without feeling guilty for having needs.
Uranus goes retrograde in Gemini , beginning a longer period of reviewing our beliefs, communication patterns, ideas, and relationship with change. Uranus in Gemini can bring mental breakthroughs, unexpected ideas, shifts in perspective, and a desire to think differently. When Uranus turns retrograde, some of that energy moves inward. You may find yourself revisiting things you thought you had already figured out. Old conversations may come back up. New ideas may need more time to develop. You may begin questioning a belief, story, or identity that no longer fits who you are becoming. This is a powerful time to ask: What am I ready to think differently about? What beliefs have I outgrown? What stories do I keep repeating about myself? Where am I afraid to change my mind? What does it look like to communicate more honestly? Not every realization needs an immediate answer. Some things need time to unfold.
On September 12, Mercury forms a trine to Pluto and an opposition to Neptune. This can bring deeper conversations, strong realizations, intuitive insight, and moments where the truth becomes harder to avoid. It can also bring confusion, mixed signals, projections, assumptions, or idealized thinking. Take your time with information. Give yourself room to sit with what you hear, what you feel, and what you think you know before reacting.
My Personal Reflection
This Virgo season has been asking me to slow down and get honest about what is actually working in my life. I have been thinking about what is only being held together by my effort, my anxiety, my habits, or my fear of letting something go. I do not feel called to completely reinvent myself. I feel called to return to myself through the small things. This New Moon is reminding me that I am not a project that needs to be perfected. I can want growth without believing something is wrong with me. I can create structure without becoming rigid. I can care about the details without losing sight of the bigger picture. I can make changes because I deserve to feel safer, calmer, healthier, and more at home in my own life. This is what healing looks like for me right now. I am not forcing myself into a new identity. I am learning how to create a life that can actually support the person I already am.
Virgo New Moon Intention
This Virgo New Moon, I am not rushing to fix everything at once. I am taking time to notice what is real, what is useful, what is draining me, and what needs to change. I am cleaning up my energy, not because I am ashamed of where I am, but because I deserve to feel more supported in my everyday life.
I am releasing the belief that everything has to be perfect before I can begin. I am choosing small steps that I can actually keep taking. I am allowed to make my life simpler. I am allowed to change my mind. I am allowed to outgrow routines, relationships, expectations, and versions of myself that no longer feel true.
Transformation can be quiet. It can happen through consistency, honesty, rest, better boundaries, spiritual cleansing, and the decision to stop making everything harder than it needs to be. I do not need to have the entire path figured out. I only need to be willing to take the next right step.
September 14: Action With Care
On September 14, the Sun in Virgo forms a supportive sextile to Mars in Cancer. This energy can help us take action on the intentions we set during the New Moon. The New Moon helps us see what needs attention, while the connection between the Sun and Mars helps us move. This does not have to be aggressive energy. Mars in Cancer reminds us that action can come from care. It can come from the desire to protect ourselves, create emotional safety, tend to our home, honor our needs, or finally follow through on something that has been waiting for our attention. This is a good time to take one small but meaningful step. You may feel called to start the routine you wrote down, clean or organize your space, make the appointment, have the conversation you have been avoiding, protect your time, care for your body, or follow through on a plan. You do not have to force everything into place. You only have to honor the next right step.
September 15: Listening Beneath the Surface
On September 15, Neptune forms an exact sextile to Pluto. This is part of a longer collective influence, so it is not something we feel for only one day. It can deepen our relationship with intuition, spirituality, creativity, imagination, healing, and the unseen things shaping our lives. This energy can bring us closer to deeper questions: What do I really believe? What am I being called to release? What dreams are actually mine? What is intuition, and what is fear, fantasy, avoidance, or wishful thinking? We may become more sensitive to energy, symbolism, collective emotions, spiritual longing, ancestral patterns, and the stories that influence our future.
This is not necessarily a time to rush into manifestation simply because you can imagine a different life. It is a time to listen, assess, cleanse, and refine. It is a time to ask whether the life you are trying to create is truly yours, or whether you are still chasing something you thought you were supposed to want. Some things need to be imagined before they can be built. Some things need to be released before there is room for anything new.
September 17: Reclaiming Self-Trust
On September 17, retrograde Chiron re-enters Aries. This can bring old wounds around identity, independence, confidence, anger, self-advocacy, and taking up space back to the surface. It may touch the parts of us that learned to wait for permission, stay agreeable, minimize our needs, question our instincts, or wonder whether we are allowed to begin.
The healing work here is not about becoming fearless. It is about trusting ourselves even while we are afraid. It is about recognizing where we have been abandoning ourselves to keep other people comfortable. It is about remembering that choosing ourselves is not selfish. Ask yourself: Where am I still abandoning myself to keep other people comfortable? What would it look like to choose myself without feeling like I have to explain or defend every choice? Healing does not mean you never doubt yourself. Healing means doubt does not get to make every decision for you.
September 22: Moving Toward Balance
The Sun enters Libra. This shifts the energy from personal maintenance and self-reflection into relationships, balance, communication, cooperation, and fairness. Virgo season helps us understand what we need. Libra season asks us to bring that awareness into our relationships.
The work we do during Virgo season can help us show up more honestly with others. When we understand our needs, limits, values, and capacity, we are less likely to overextend ourselves, build resentment, avoid hard conversations, or lose ourselves trying to keep everyone else happy. Balance includes you too. Your needs matter. Your time matters. Your energy matters. Your boundaries matter. You can be compassionate without overextending yourself. You can be considerate without becoming responsible for everyone else’s emotions. You can love people and still be honest about what no longer feels mutual, healthy, or aligned.

Cleansing Ritual for the Season
Materials
You will need a quiet, clean space; a white or green candle; a journal and pen; a houseplant, yard, or altar space; and water or tea. You may also use lemon balm for grief release and emotional healing, dill for protection, prosperity, purification, and spiritual awareness, thyme for health and healing, and lavender for stress relief, peace, and restoration. Choose a Psalm, prayer, or sacred text that feels supportive for you. If you prefer, you can take a cleansing bath or shower as part of your preparation.
Prepare Your Space
Start by cleaning your space in whatever way feels accessible to you. Your space does not need to be perfect. The goal is simply to make enough room for yourself to breathe, think, reflect, and be present. Take a shower or bath if that feels good. Wash your hands and face, change into comfortable clothes, open a window, play soft music, or sit in silence. Let this be a signal to your body and spirit that you are entering intentional space. Light your candle and place your herbs, plant, or altar items nearby.
Ground and Protect
Sit somewhere comfortable where you will not be interrupted. Take several slow breaths. Relax your shoulders, unclench your jaw, and feel your body being supported by the space beneath you. Silently call in the support of God, your ancestors, angels, deities, guides, your higher self, or any protective spiritual forces you believe in or work with. Ask to be supported, protected, and guided. Ask that this ritual serve the highest good of everyone involved.
Speak Aloud: I welcome only what is aligned with my highest good. I release what is heavy, harmful, confusing, or no longer mine to carry. May this space be protected, peaceful, and clear.
Body and Energy Scan
Close your eyes and invite your higher self, inner wisdom, or spiritual guidance to be present with you. Start at your feet and slowly bring your awareness upward through your legs, hips, stomach, chest, shoulders, arms, throat, face, and the space above your head.
Notice where you feel tension, heaviness, fatigue, numbness, anxiety, grief, pressure, density, or stuck energy. Try not to judge what you notice. Just witness it. Imagine a soft white, green, or golden light moving through your body and energy field. Let it gently clear what you are ready to release. Hold or smell one of your herbs if you feel called to do so.
Declare over yourself: I release what I no longer need. I return to my body. I return to my truth. I return to what supports me.
Release and Intention Setting
Write down what you are ready to release. This may be a habit, fear, expectation, obligation, belief, resentment, relationship pattern, clutter, self-critical thought, or responsibility that has been draining you.
Then write down three intentions for the lunar cycle ahead. Keep them practical, gentle, and sustainable. Your intentions might include creating a morning routine that supports your emotional well-being, organizing one area of your home each week, honoring your body’s need for rest, saying no when your spirit is asking for space, making choices that simplify rather than complicate your life, choosing progress over perfection, or trusting yourself enough to take one clear step forward.
Read your intentions out loud. Place them beneath your candle, inside your journal, or near your plant or altar.
Close the Ritual
Read your chosen Psalm, prayer, or affirmation. Thank the spiritual support you invited into your space, extinguish your candle safely, and drink some water or tea. Take a few more breaths and give yourself room to rest. Carry your intentions through small, repeated acts of care. Virgo teaches us that devotion is built one choice at a time. If this resonated, you may want to explore a Sacred Regulation Session to help ground these intentions into your body, or shop ritual goods that support your practice.
