Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness

Updated: Dec 18, 2022

Hey my babies here is your list of books that I will be teaching from, reviewing, and covering as we move through the first quarter of the year. Please do not feel obligated to buy all of these books. A SCRIBD membership will give you access to them in ebook or audio form for a low monthly price, you can go to sites like pdfdrive.com to download some of them at absolutely no cost to you, and I will be summarizing, highlighting and reviewing the key lessons and points in majority of these via video or audio for you; so even if you don't do any of the things you will still get some of the benefit as long as you watch and follow along. Now I know I said two books a month one for purpose and one for pleasure, but I feel like if we start off strong and do one for passion and one for purpose for the first four months then move into purpose and pleasure for the remaining 8 months of the year we will set ourselves up with a more sturdy foundation of the work these books subscribe us to.

That being said you can start now like me and as you finish up reflect, reread, revisit, and notate as you go along. I find that I am an auditory person. The first thing I remeber is a persons voice, sound is the fastest healing and calming agent for me, and hearing information helps me absorb it better than just seeing it. I can even listen to the TV and not be watching it. Anyhow, I say all that to say that if you really enjoy the message in some of these books and want to take it deeper or get a better understanding listen to the audio, or vice versa if you started with the audio then get the actual book or ebook and go through it slowly. This will help us better absorb and inner stand the information so we can apply it as opposed to just absorbing it and putting it down.

The purpose of doing this is not to get caught in a loop of self-help, but to create an actionable system for us to transform and thrive through. The best way to start that is in the mind, everything is mental as above so below and as within so without. There was a time when we could be killed for reading and now we can do it openly, freely, and purposefully so join me. I will likely do multiple videos on each book however, at the end of the quarter I will send out a blog with takeaways, highlights, notes, and the links to the videos for that set of books. Please let me know if you guys have any questions and for Glow Up Goddesses the reading is required because you will have journal prompts and assignments based on the things detailed in these texts.

The Mountain Is You by Brianna West & Its Not Your Money by Tosha Silver

  • January is a time of reviewing the past and looking ahead to the future. Here marks the beginning of the end of long cycles where we need to make amends and peace with ourselves in order to make space for the new energies arising. Yall have to remember that January was originally not the first month of the year, it comes after winter solstice, but before spring equinox and it takes us through the end of Capricorn and into Aquarius. This is 10th and 11th house energy . It is here that we clarify our intentions, lay out our strategies, adopt the dominion, mastery, and closure we need before purification in Pisces season and the new start at Aries. This is a time to lay the foundation so we are ready to hit the ground running at Spring Equinix and I think these two books are just perfect for that.

The How by Yrsa Daley Ward & Anatomy of the Spirit by Caroline Myss

  • February is all about purification, acceptance, and balance. It is here where we want to work diligently toward improving our daily standards, changing our habits, and patterns in action so that we can solidify the long term changes underway and to come. It is here that we strengthen our relationships with ourselves. We reconcile our past selves with our present selves, and take actions toward the future selves we see emerging. We get to know ourselves intimately and our relationships are fed and thrive as a function of that. I think these two books will help us with the work of February.

Ase Yoga Where Every Breath Counts by Dr. Robin Alston & The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

  • With Spring Equinox we get an increase of sun to the earth. We get more time with the light for new life, new paths, and new beginnings. As we stretch into the real new year we learn to remain present and adopt yoga not as a physical practice but a lifestyle. We will go through the seven levels of Yoga and how they connect with the 7 principles of magic so we can move with purpose, discipline, and peace into our goals. We deepen our understanding of the energy centers within the body and how to direct them for optimum productivity, health, and wealth.

The Kybalion by Three Initiates & The Middle Pillar by Israel Rigarde

  • April is about opening, opening the road, opening the channel, opening the mind, opening the heart. This is a time where magic thrives and those ready for a full resurrection will survive. Here we begin to see for ourselves the expansive nature of creation. Lets not just be witnesses though, lets take part in it and begin embracing the creator within ourselves. Its time to start practicing practical magic in addition to the energy work we have done so far in order to further our momentum and solidify our foundations in April.
